The nominee of the Fair Trade Ambassador Award, received, in the past year, its Fairtrade Canada designation. The nominee has therefore taken a big step towards fair trade by posing one or more actions that have supported the fair trade movement in Quebec.
The designated Fair Trade Ambassador Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to Fair Trade through their passion and dedication. The nominated Ambassador therefore has a long-term vision for large-scale awareness and support for Fair Trade in his community.
Through his actions, the designated fair trade ambassador met all the requirements of Fairtrade Canada’s fair trade ambassador program. The nominee for this category has been awarded the Fair trade ambassador designation in the past year.
|Ambassador’s application||√ Did the Ambassador take part in a training session for the Fair Trade Ambassadors, either via a webinar or in-person meeting;|
√ Did the Ambassador complete a questionnaire to test his understanding of Fair Trade? (A passing grade of 70% will be required);
|Ambassador’s involvment||√ Does the ambassador actively support or encourage the fair trade programs of his region ?;|
√ Does the ambassador support the annual fair trade campaign in his region? (eg, Quebec Fair Trade Month, World Fair Trade Day, Fair Trade Campus Week);
√ Does the ambassador participate in the organization, suggest topics for conference sessions, or attend the RCCÉ National Fair Trade Conference ?;
√ Does the Ambassador network with teachers, universities, college administrations, municipal representatives, community organizations, students, and other individuals who wish to learn more about fair trade and related designations;
√ Does the ambassador lend a helping hand for demonstrations of fair trade products ?;
√ Does the ambassador offer content suggestions and participate in the distribution of Fair Trade magazine produced by the RCCÉ (published twice a year);
